Compliance Governance
At SGT, we prioritize safeguarding the privacy and confidentiality of our clients in accordance with legal regulations. We continually update our internal due diligence procedures to align with changes mandated by the Ministry of Economy and the Central Bank of the UAE.
In compliance with the law, SGT is obligated to acquire, verify, and record ownership and specific business information from clients before establishing a business relationship or opening an account.
SGT's Client Identification Procedure involves the following steps:
Step 1:
Complete the compliance contact form.
The information provided undergoes thorough review and analysis by our legal and compliance team. Prompt feedback is provided, along with a document checklist tailored to the chosen client classification. Upon receipt of the documents in PDF format, our Legal and Compliance Officer (LCO) may request further clarification.
Step 2:
If the Know Your Customer (KYC) information complies with our internal policies and meets legal requirements, SGT requests the submission of the full set of documentation in original form, including any necessary notarized or apostilled documents.
Upon verification of the received documents, SGT proceeds with the account opening process. The entire due diligence review typically spans 7-10 business days.
All client information and data are treated with the utmost confidentiality.
